NEW 2” DUCK BILL VALVE
An improved 2-inch duckbill valve is now in production on J series vacuum generators (model VG4) and M series vacuum pumps. The new valve delivers better back-pressure resistance, vacuum sealing and durability.
Two physical identifiers help differentiate the new duckbill valve from the previous version:
1. The new valve has a slight lip extension (0.025 inch) on the end of the duckbill. This allows a better sealing surface under vacuum or pressure. The old 2" valve ended abruptly.
2. The new valve will be marked "BAY 2-XX", which indicates second generation followed by the cavity number. The discontinued valves read "BAY 1" through "BAY 22". In addition, the previous M-pump valve also had a silver "M" written on it, which is now eliminated.
WHAT THIS MEANS TO YOU
New-style 2-inch duckbill valves are now used in VG4 units with serial numbers beginning with 101. All M-pump serial numbers beginning with 050 use the new duckbill design.
If you have the previous-style 2-inch duckbill valves in stock as replacement parts, they should still be used for that purpose, as they deliver premium, long-lasting VacuFlush performance. There is no reason to return previous-style valves.
Part number 347802 (Duck Bill Valve 2” ) will be discontinued in our spare parts list .
