KD-Tail Jet System
The result from my fin tests, demonstrated how important it is to move the
fin in the right way and how important it is to use the right tail. Only Marine
animals are able to obtain the full profit of pure tail propulsion. When a tail
is connected to a machinery that tries to copy the marine animals way of moving
the tail, the things change. Natural tails has a high grade of efficiency but
when they are connected to a machine with more power than what the nature can
produce, they brakes down in pieces. If the tail is made of synthetic material
it is possible to work with them at high stress without a breakdown. A flapping
tail is not an elegant solution as a propulsion system for a marine craft. The
water jet is a better solution. No external appendices are involved. The Squids
are using a jet system but there pump system is very complicated to make mechanically.
The KD-Tail Jet System is easy to connect to power supply and easy to control.

A small fish robot is now equipped with the KD-TAIL JET SYSTEM. Steering and reverse maneuvers are fully controlled.
